Qualifications:

• Valid Vermont AOE License in Special Education
• Proven experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a K-2 setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment

Location:
Saint Johnsbury, VT

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate students into the general education curriculum.
• Provide direct instruction and support to a caseload of 15-20 students, facilitating their learning and development.
• Assess and evaluate students progress, adjusting strategies to ensure continued growth.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance.
